Auditions will take place in the Black Box at the Jenison Center for the Arts.

IMPORTANT AUDITION & PERFORMANCE

INFORMATION

 

**If you have performed in one of our past fundraiser concerts

for Bethany, you do not need to sign up for an audition.

Simply email Bethany Schutter at bschuttermusic@gmail.com

to propose what you'd like to perform.

If she needs anything further, she will let you know.

Your email proposal DOES NOT guarantee a performance slot.**

AUDITIONS

  • Please plan to arrive 5 minutes prior to your audition time.

  • Prepare an entire song you would like to sing for the fundraiser concert (Rated G - PG-13). 

  • Choose something that is entertaining and shows off your voice and acting skills!

  • Your song must be accompanied (accompanist provided). Please bring a hard copy of your sheet music (secured in a 3-ring binder or something similar) to the audition. 

  • You may not be required to sing your entire song for your audition, but come prepared to do so. 

  • Duets and small groups are welcomed!

  • All unvaccinated participants should be prepared to wear a mask if asked.

 

 

PERFORMANCE

If you are selected to perform for the event:

  • It is not guaranteed that you perform the song you auditioned with. For the sake of the flow of the show, you may be asked to sing a different song (solo or duet/small group) - this may be instead of or in addition to what you auditioned with.

  • You may also be asked to perform in a full ensemble piece. You are expected to learn your part in your own time.

  • You are required to provide up to 3 hard copies of the sheet music for your song, as you will be accompanied by live musicians. 

  • You will be scheduled for one rehearsal time with the accompanist (January 22nd or February 5th), to take place before the dress rehearsal.

  • The dress rehearsal is mandatory and will take place on February 10th at 6pm. 

  • The performance will take place on February 11th at 7:30pm.
